Tapestry, A New Thread is the realization of Carole King’s collection of songs from her monumental 1971 recording. Chloe Haynes, William Lenihan and band perform the entire LP in the spirit of King’s expression and artistry, from So Far Away, It’s Too Late - to You’ve Got a FriendWill You Love Me Tomorrow - each and every song from this historic recording.

Chloe Haynes brings the spirit of Carole King’s music alive on stage as a new thread in the legacy of Tapestry.  In addition, she performs a set of her own fascinating songs from her new studio release of 2026.

CHLOE HAYNES, singer, guitarist, and songwriter has been performing professionally since the age of seven. She is a studied classical guitarist and singer having performed vocal roles with Winter Opera St. Louis and Opera Theatre of St. Louis/St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

In her teen years, playing in indie rock bands she began to write songs of extraordinary brilliance and originality. She later teamed up with professional jazz and studio musicians demonstrating her wide breadth of musical expression, giving birth to numerous exhilarating performances at festivals at concerts. Chloe Haynes’ wide reaching musical palette shines in her performances of the music of the great singers, composers and songwriters. Equally, her magic comes alive in her own very special, idiosyncratic and lyrical songs. Carole King’s Tapestry as a collection of stories, melodies of a time now past is an ideal stage for Haynes’ expressivity and artistry. 

WILLIAM LENIHAN, composer, guitarist, pianist performs throughout the world in broad-ranging musical environments. He has worked as a studio musician and composer in film and television in Los Angeles composing music for productions of George Lucas, Ron Howard, and has performed with numerous singers including Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters and others. As a jazz musician, he has performed with the great Bob Brookmeyer, Ron Carter, Marc Copland, Dave Weckl, John Patitucci and many others. In the world of classical music William has concertized in solo, chamber, orchestral music and opera throughout Europe and USA. He has played with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre of St. Louis and numerous other studio orchestras. As a theatre guitarist, he performed over decades for numerous Broadway productions in New York and throughout USA and Europe on tour.  As musical director he has composed and arranged for numerous singers on national tours, as well for opera and chamber music. His recording, The Reprieve, with Gary Husband, John Patitucci, Dave Weckl is released in 2026.

His musical association with Chloe Haynes in recent years has yielded numerous concert appearances including their Tapestry, A New Thread show. There are numerous professional and musical connections to this music. One to mention - William, with Jay Oliver recorded with the great Russ Kunkel, studio drummer of the 1971 Tapestry LP. Both he and Chloe share a great affinity for these songs, their sincerity and their long-lasting appeal.
